Team Kickoff

Each team will select one concept to pursue (the team can always pivot and change their concept). All team members should continue a deeper dive into this concept, and prepare an overview presentation for a meeting with the instructor on Friday of week 4. Print out a PowerPoint set of slides that consolidates the project info. One slide each for the following topics:

  • Description of unmet need (aka pain).

  • Possible design solutions.

  • Market research into competitors.

  • Customer Discovery. Summarize what was learned from customer interviews.

  • Early Adopters. This is key!

  • List of All Groups Impacted by the Project Including: Customers, Sales, Distributors, Installers, etc.

  • High Risk Technical Areas and Possible Risk Reduction Tests

  • High Risk Marketing Challenges and Possible Minimum Viable Product

  • Sources of Income (include estimates of quantity and dollar amounts if possible)

  • Plan of Action. What are your the next risk reduction steps.

Friday Meetings with the Instructor

  • We will meet in EBU2-309 (opposite the Design Studio) at each team designated time slot.

  • Teams will present for 5 minutes

  • We will discuss plans for moving forward.
